Students at City University of New York (CUNY) colleges could save money if they were able to order their books online and if a system was put in place at each of the CUNY colleges according to a report issued today by NY State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli today. The report estimated savings of up to 40% if they were able to order online instead of having to make purchases at their colleges' bookstores. Barnes & Noble, which operates many of the bookstores at these colleges, has not responded to this report as of yet.
