New York City has been ranked 9th in Forbes' ranking of the thirty most wired cities. Forbes determines the results by comparing the number of Internet users to high-speed connections and the number of companies offering high-speed Internet service. Wi-fi hot spots are also taken into consideration. Seattle was at the top of the list.
