NY Convergence ORIGINAL

Outside. In, Carrot Creative Host Digital DUMBO Drinks

NYConvergence ORIGINAL

The hyperlocal news service and the digital marketing agency joined forces to sponsor a gathering for the growing number of technolog-related companies in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood last night.  This inaugural gathering, which some attendees whispered may some day take the place of the departed Media Meshing, was held on the second level of ReBar.  [Editor's Note: We've just heard that the next one will be Thursday, February 26, with a formal invite coming shortly.]

We already reported on Outside.in's just-announced partnership with NBC Local Media so while there we asked Carrot Creative's Mike Germano if there was any news he'd like to share with our readers.  He didn't actually say no, but somehow, the conversation drifted into a discussion of the Carrot Creative brand and what it symbolizes through an examination of his business card.

In the crowd, we spotted (in no particular order) blogger Nichelle Stephens, L magazine's Andrea Rosen, The New York Times's Soraya Darabi, Jewcy.com's Lilit Marcus (who told us to expect news of their next event soon), Carrot Creative's Communications Director Kristin Maverick, Outside.in's Community Coordinator Chrysanthe Tenentes, Path101's Charlie O'Donnell, and The New York Observer's Gillian ReaganNick McGlynn was there too, taking photos for his Web site Random Night Out which you'll find here.
