CPL and Social Net Monetization Discussed at AlwaysOn

At the online advertising CEO Showcase at the AlwaysOn OnMedia Conference, Brooklyn-based cost per lead (CPL) marketing company Pontiflex discussed the importance of online lead generation and how it remains a largely untapped market. JPMorgan Chase industry analyst Imran Kahn remarked that the main challenge for CPL companies is generating enough qualified leads for clients.

Later on, NY-based Appssavvy, which connects developers to social networks, brought up the gap between widget-makers in Silicon Alley and social networks in Silicon Valley, emphasizing that direct sales drive monetization.
