As the recession continues to affect a variety of industries in New York, the once unstoppable film/tv production industry is now taking a hit. Crain's New York Business today reports on several New York production companies, including Central Park Media Corp. and MDM Post, who have filed for bankruptcy due to a combination of economic factors. One of the largest issues for production companies is the uncertainty of Albany renewing the 30% tax incentive on productions in New York state.
