Cablevision, the NY-based cable company, is in talks with Voyages North America Inc., a provider of video-on-demand travel content, for a potential deal that might put the cable company into the travel business. The deal would allows Cablevision subscribers to book trips through their TV sets, including booking flights, hotels, and tours.
If the deal is completed, Cablevision would become the first cable operator in the U.S. to offer travel services to subscribers in this fashion.
