‘NY Times’ Talks with Google, Considers Online Charges

According to Business Insider, Google is currently engaged in high-level talks with The New York Times Chairman Arthur Sulzberger about ways which the search company can share revenue with the newspaper based on either content crawled by Google or through ads embedded in The Times' text.

At the same time at The Times in New York, the editors are also considering different methods for charging visitors to its Web site for content, including metered usage or memberships.  Both were described at a meeting held by Executive Editor Bill Keller earlier this week.
