Gawker Media Publisher Nick Denton has posted a chart to his personal Web site indicating that the blog's revenues were "45% higher in the first two quarters of 2009 than they were in the same period last year."
Reuters reporter Felix Salmon notes that this is "why he's started hiring again," but the chart itself, while clearly indicating an increase in revenues over expenses, includes no numbers along the y-axis, providing viewers with no means to evaluate these claims.
