The telecommunications company demonstrated its new Widget Bazaar for subscribers to its FiOS service this week at its headquarters in Manhattan's Financial District neighborhood this week. Subscribers to Verizon's high-speed Internet and cable service will now be able to access the Bazaar and download applications which will allow them to use Web-based programs on their televisions. Two of the first applications which will be available allow subscribers to access popular social-networking and micro-blogging services Facebook and Twitter.
