BGP Properties Converts Hotel into “Smart” Condo

Recently, BGP Properties, a commercial real estate firm, converted the former Barbizon Hotel on the Upper East Side into Barbizon 63, a high-end condo with "smart" features.

The building is designed to detect when an electrical or mechanical system is malfunctioning. This automatically triggers a work order and an email to the tenant, who is having an issue, to let him or her know that the problem is being handled.
