Ensemble Plays Music from Electronica’s Infancy

The New York New Music Ensemble played three of Argentine-born American composer Mario Davidovsky conventionally-scored works, as well as two
“Synchronisms,” at Merkin Concert Hall on Monday evening in belated
celebration of his birthday.  Davidovsky’s 75th birthday was on March 4.

Davidovsky's "Synchronisms" combine synthetic sounds produced on what were then room-size computers
and early synthesizers with the more familiar timbres of acoustic
instruments.
