Earlier in the summer, Major League Baseball launched a new service that live streams New York Yankees baseball games online in cooperation with YES, the Yankees cable network. The service was made available to NY area cable subscribers midway through the baseball season through a deal with Cablevision and with Verizon FiOS. This week, MLB found that the service drew approximately 6,000 paid subscribers.
