NYS Boots 3,500 ‘Sex Fiends’ from Facebook, MySpace

More than 3,500 convicted New York State "sex fiends" have been kicked off of Facebook and MySpace according to the New York Daily News

They were removed from both services under the terms of the Electronic Security and Targeting of Online Predators Act (e-STOP), a 2008 law pushed by current Attorney General Cuomo.

The newspaper adds that their names have been sent to the NY State Division of
Parole, which will determine if any of the offenders violated their
early release provisions by being on the social networking sites.
