The New York Post spoke with representatives from each of them recently, including:
- Yodle, the Chelsea, NY-based online advertising provider. The company hired 300 people in 2009 and expects to hire an additional 175 in 2010. The company started with two employees in 2005.
- Appsavvy, the social-media marketing firm. CEO and Co-Founder Chris Cunningham notes that "not many people have built career porfolios to work specifically in [the social-media marketing] space, but he's looking for "sales or marketing pro[s] with digital experience."
- Beezag.com, the Flatiron District-based firm which targets advertising to mobile devices. It brought in 12 of its 20 employees in late 2009 and "it's getting ready to hire again." While "experience may be a plus," CEO Richard Smullen told The Post that "he's eager to talk with Web divas who built their followings from their dorm rooms."
