Nassau County, NY Has Fastest Broadband

Nassau County, NY sits at the top of a list of the nation's fastest broadband counties released by ID Insight.  Users there see a median download speed of 15 megabits per second and a median upload speed of 4.4 megabits per second according to the company's Broadband Scout system.

Dslreports.com says that's not too surprising given the speed competition occurring in the county between carriers like Verizon, Cablevision, and Comcast.  All three of whom have "dumped money back into the network in those
markets" and, not coincidentally, "offer next-gen speeds between
50 Mbps and 100 Mbps downstream" there.
