The number of tech job postings in Manhattan jumped 18% in the first quarter of 2010, compared to the year-ago period, according a report issued by Pace University and SkillProof Inc. Growth was led by a 60% increase in openings for systems analysts and a 30% plus increase in demand for programmers. The category of other computer specialists was up by 24%.
The jump in job openings hasn't been this great since 2008 according to the Pace/SkillProof IT Index Report.
