Online Advertising Discussed by Ultra Light Panel

Online advertising is heading for a Golden Age, Jonathan Hsu, CEO of 24/7 Real Media told an audience at NYU's Polytechnic Incubator Thursday night. At a panel discussion sponsored by Ultra Light Startups, Hsu said that it is easier than ever to get into the online advertising business, but it is harder than ever to "create real wealth and score a huge buyout." The panel also discussed direct response vs. brand advertising. The group closed the evening by reiterating that the online advertising industry is headed for unprecedented growth.

Others on the panel included: Dean Harris, CMO of Kayak and Vonage; Brian O'Kelley CEO of AppNexus, and Anand Subramanian, Founder and Chairman of ContextWeb.
