Debian Conference 2010 to be Held at Columbia

The 2010 Debian Conference for developers and project participants will be held at Columbia University on August 1st – 7th, in collaboration with the Columbia Computer Science Department.

In Debian Conference's eleven-year history, this will be the first time it's being held in the USA. Debian Day, on August 1st, is when doors are open to the general public including talks and demonstrations about the benefits of Debian software.
