True/Slant founder Lewis Dvorkin, which was acquired by NY-based Forbes Media, is attempting to install a new business model there, believing that entrepreneurial journalism is the high quality efficient way to create a scalable content creation force. Unlike True/Slant, where there was a single layer between the user and the content creator, Forbes has multiple layers with editors controlling content, and will stay that way, he said.
Currently, Dvorkin is making over both the print magazine and the web site. On the web, he is creating dynamically updated pages so readers will come back time and time again. He also believes in tearing down the walls between content creators, audience and marketers, but added that everyone has to know who is talking.
