A new social network, designed for talent agents and aspiring talent (actors, musicians, etc.) in the entertainment industry, launched publicly today. Developed in New York, the site Talent Maven lets members set up profiles, upload photos/videos, share news and connect with each other. One major difference between this and a site like Facebook is that members can prevent other members from contacting them.
According to an article in TechCrunch, "Members can become fans of other members, but they only get to see public updates and media. To connect to a member you need to know somebody who knows that person and get an introduction. And in your privacy settings, you can specify which groups have access to your feed."
