Recently firms from Long Island and New York City came together in Washington for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillbrand's second annual High-Tech Innovation Showcase. Some companies in attendance included Brookhaven National Laboratory, the Long Island Forum for Technology, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the Morrelly Homeland Security Center.
"No other state is poised to lead in the high-tech economy of the future like New York," according a Gillbrand statement featured in Long Island Business News.
