Advertising Week: Mad Men and Women Meet in NYC

Advertising Week 2010 –a week of conferences where real "Mad Men and Women" from all over the country meet in Manhattan– takes place today through Friday with events organized around content or geography at 17 locations around the city. Subjects to be addressed include multicultural marketing, cause
marketing, the creative process, social media, changes in the media and
the industry's efforts to increase diversity.  A complete schedule of
events can be found at Advertisingweek.com.

Activities that are intended to help raise money for various causes will be front and center, the New York Times Media Decoder blog said. For
example, the Advertising Club of New York is sponsoring an All
Access Auction, to raise money for its foundation, which helps students
interested in entering the industry. One of the auction items is a lunch with Mad Men era advertising execs.
