In an effort to lure people away from their "solitary communion with their flatscreen televisions and mobile devices," Greenpoint photographer Molly Surno has been offering up a "floating multimedia party," pairing silent short films accompanied by musicians playing original sound track compositions.
Tomorrow at 7PM, at the Smack Mellon Theater on Plymouth Street in Brooklyn, Ms Sumo will host a one night only presentation of three short experimental films by Maya Deren, Wallace Berman and Kihachiro Kawamoto, scored by the Brooklyn-based rock act Ablehearts, and accompanied by guitarist M. Beharie.
