Cablevision v. Fox Feud Inspires FCC Baseball Tweeting

In an effort to shame Cablevision and Fox to settle their dispute and let millions of people watch the National League Major League Baseball playoffs, the FCC is tweeting live updates from the Giants/Phillies games several times an hour.  Blogger Danny Sullivan points out that this probably violates the warning that  “Any rebroadcast, retransmission or account of this game, without the express written consent of Major League Baseball, is prohibited.”

ReadWriteWeb’s Marshall Kirkpatrick says “there is something about these old media rules and relationships that seem absurd when new media makes so much more possible.”
