Verizon Wireless Announces iPhone Availability at Launch in New York

This morning at an event in New York, Verizon Wireless ended three years of rumors by announcing that Apple’s iPhone will finally be available to Verizon customers starting on February 10.   Some Verizon customers will be able to pre-order the phone on February 3, which will sell for $199.99 for the 16 GB version and $299.99 for the 32 GB version, both requiring a two year contract.

The announcement officially ends AT&T’s exclusivity for the phone, while according to The Wall Street Journal, Apple will now have access to Verizon’s 93 million strong customer base.
