Westchester Mom Creates Software for People to Make Their Own Books

Weschester resident Jane Hanstein was a former creative director at an advertising agency has created PROJECTalphabet.com, a free Web-based application that lets people create their own children books using their own pictures.

Hanstein came up with the idea when she became a stay at home mom in 1999. As she looked through photos of her son, she thought of creating an alphabet book using her son, Henry’s photos. The only problem was that alphabet book were over. When she had her second son Eli, her and her husband Chris thought it’d be great to have a software that allows people to make their own books.
