Long Island based Cablevision has announced that its Optimum Link PC-to-TV streaming service will let its subscribers view anything accessible on a Windows PC on their TVs including Hulu, iTunes movies/TV shows and YouTube. The service uses software, which must be installed on a users PC, to stream video and audio through Cablevision’s network to the customers set top box.
Hulu had previously blocked similar services wanting to stream its free content and has not responded to an inquiry from Multichannel News as to whether or not it would block Cablevision’s service.
