Brooklyn Online Retailer Pleads Guilty to Charges

Vitaly Borker, the online eyeglasses seller who was arrested in November 2010 for threatening, menacing and lying to customers in order to increase the search ranking for his website, DecorMyEyes.com, has plead guilty in a Federal Court in NY to two counts of sending threatening communications, one count of mail fraud and one count of wire fraud. The Brooklyn man admitted to the allegations and released an apologetic statement.

Sentencing is scheduled for September 16th and government prosecutors have said that Mr. Borker could face up to six and a half years in prison. Mr. Borker’s lawyer has said that he expects a fraction of that time.
