Solvate, founded in 2008, is a NY-based startup that helps connect independent professionals with clients. The platform is easy to use and provides custom recommendations of talent for clients. In addition, clients can use Solvate’s talent search engine to look at different aspects of a professional, including their role, expertise and hourly rate. To keep it feeling like clients are dealing with real people, all of the talent have individual profiles that clients can look through.
Solvate has less than 20 full time employees because they use their own network to get many jobs done. Currently people are accepted into Solvate’s talent network at a rate of 20%. Account manager Sam Bauch deemed the site, “like dating for companies and freelancers.”
