NY-based online marketer Yodle announced this week that it is acquiring ProfitFuel, an Austin-based search-engine marketing firm. The combined company will have 22,000 clients, making it one of the largest of its kind. According to the Austin American-Statesman, the merger creates an information advantage, enabling it to monitor search engine algorithms in depth and quickly gather information.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but ProfitFuel’s CEO David Rubin will remain with the company as senior vice president of sales.
