More women in the NY tech scene are not letting being out-numbed by men stop them from starting their own startups. Beta Beat recently compiled a list of 25 powerful women to watch in NY, predicted to become future angel investors, powerhouse venture capitalists, and CEOs.
The list includes Mariya Yao, co-founder of social interaction app Bloomsie, Marissa Evans, founder of social retailing startup GoTryItOn, Hilary Mason, co-founder of HackNY, and Jennifer Fleiss and Jennifer Hyman, founders of online designer rental service Rent the Runway.
