Crowdtap, a NY-based startup that helps brands connect with and reward their fans via Facebook, recently crossed the $1 million revenue mark for 2011 with around 50 major brand clients. The startup boasts 115,000 users and members earn redeemable points for taking actions such as completing surveys, voting in polls and participating in online discussions. Points can then be redeemed for charitable donations or an Amazon gift card.
Crowdtap requires that users donate five percent of their points to a charity of their choice and has so far collected $20,000 in donations.
