Google Offers Separates Itself From the Pack

Grub Street New York recently talked to some NY merchants who are working with Google’s new feature, Offers, to find out what its like inside the competitive coupon arena. Zaf Sevimcok of AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar, had a coupon on Google Offers’ first day online. “It doesn’t matter if they don’t buy it,” he said of the $10-worth-of-items-for-$5 coupon that 134 people purchased that day. “Because millions of people will see it and be aware that AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar is here, in midtown.”

Sevimcok also added that he had previously worked with daily deal sites Living Social and Scoutmob and had negative experiences with both.
