According to the New York Post Alfonso Suarez, a Queens UPS worker, was arrested after he was caught re-directing iPhone shipments to his house. Police caught Suarez through a sting operation where they attached a GPS device to two packages that were delivered to him. Suarez allegedly put new shipping labels on six boxes of shipments from March 16-18 which contained 45 phones, including 30 iPhone 4s.
UPS notified authorities when they received phone calls from the intended recipients saying they never received their packages. According to police, Suarez was charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
