Brooklyn-based Boxee is expanding its web-to-TV streaming service to allow for streaming to and from the iPad. Users can stream media from their PC or Mac onto their iPad, or stream content from the iPad to their television, without the need for their Boxee Box hardware.
Boxee’s VP or Marketing, Andrew Kippen, told The Next Web that the new app is targeting iPad users, not existing Boxee customers. The new app is easy to use and features three sections, with videos recommended from friends on social networking platforms, those to be saved and watched later, and media recommended by Boxee.
