Five New York city park locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Staten Island will be able to access AT&T Wi-Fi service at no cost. The launch of these free Wi-Fi spots is part of a five-year digital initiative with the Bloomberg administration to provide free service at 26 locations throughout the five boroughs.

New Yorkers will now be able to access internet service from their smartphones, tablets, and other Wi-Fi enabled devices in Queens’ Astoria Park, Herbert Von King Park and McCarren Park Field House in Brooklyn, Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan, and Clove Lakes Park in Staten Island .

“[New Yorkers can] expect to see new parks come online in the next several months,” said an AT&T spokesperson in a statement.
