GroundLink Launches Mobile Private Car Service in NY

GroundLink, global private car service, announced the launch of the first mobile app that give people the opportunity to order private cars with their smartphones. According to GroundLink’s press release, consumers can access the world’s “biggest and highest quality” network of ground transportation providers through both the Android and iOS smartphone platforms.

To celebrate the launch, GroundLink is offering customers who book through the iPhone or Android apps the chance to win $15,000 in cash and other prizes. GroundLink’s fleet will have a variety of prizes for five days including two envelopes containing $1,000 in cash each day. Other prizes include tickets to Book of Mormon, Giants vs. Jets tickets, Momofuku and Peter Luger gift cards, Brooklyn Bowl, Barneys and Tiffany gift cards, and a trip to Atlantic City.

The company’s “Ride Now” location-based  mobile technology allows registered users to order a car within minutes. GroundLink’s “Ride Later” feature enables users to set a specific date, time and location for pickup. In any case, consumers can track the car’s location or precise arrival time and communicate directly with the driver at all times, according to its press release. GroundLink’s social sharing tool equips riders with the option to update friends and followers on their travel whereabouts. GroundLink’s New York fleet maintains a hold on 300 cars and more than 100,000 private cars, limos, and SUV’s in all 50 states and 110 countries.
