Stanford Partners with City College

Stanford University

Stanford University has announced they are collaborating with NY’s City College to offer students the chance to study Standford’s engineering curriculum. Standford will use a grant won from the National Sciences Foundation to kick start the partnership. According to Crain’s New York, Stanford “will immediately launch an East Coast demonstration site on the City College campus for Stanford’s undergraduate program in entrepreneurship, technology, management and related areas.”

“Standford@CCNY” partnership could help the university’s chances in winning the Bloomberg administration’s deciding vote on who will build an applied-sciences campus in the city. Bloomberg is not expected to decide until the end of the year but if their proposal is selected, the collaboration between the two colleges will heighten, giving the top City College students an opportunity to enroll in dual City College BS and Stanford MS degree programs.
