With the holiday season now underway, Conde Nast recently launched “Santa’s Hideout.” The website allows children to make a personal wish list that is set up by their parents, who have the ability to divvy the list up  for “Santa’s eyes only” and for family and friends, according to Reuters. The website uses Amazon’s public API, which handles the e-commerce duties of shipping items on the list. The website is the second launched from Conde Nast’s research and development group incubator.

“The group is allowed to run in any direction,” Drew Schutte, chief integration officer at Conde Nast, told Reuters. “You never know how one technology will impact the rest of the company,” he added.
