Poorsquare Taps into Foursquare to Find “Freebies”

Foursquare Logo

Poorsquare, founded by Columbia Journalism School alumnus Jeff Novich and Andrew Pinzler, is an app that simply points users to ” freebies” in their neighborhood. The app uses the Foursquare location, places and deals database to allow users to search for location, what they are looking for, the requirements of receiving the “freebie” and whether or not it will only apply to one person.

The site already ranks the deals so the user is aware beforehand if the deal is “worthy” enough and Poorsquare allows you to add deals to your Google Calendar if they are only available certain times of the day.
