The New York City Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” will be the latest troupe to launch a live HD cinemacast on December 13. So far, 530 venues have signed up for the broadcast which will be produced by the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
The HD cinemacast trend has interested organizations such as London’s National Theater, and international companies such as La Scala and the Bolshoi Ballet.
