Amid expansion in the number of digital products accessible to the New York theater crowd, The New York Times has made significant changes to its online theater section, according to Adweek. The updates are part of other changes to the paper’s online arts coverage, including the Arts & Entertainment Guide event listings.

Show Tuner, a new tool that lets visitors filter shows by mood, style, or audience to find results that match their preferences is a key feature. Early next year, the section plans to add more video content, such as a Broadway Previews channel populated by videos from The Broadway Channel.

“We have an active audience of theater-goers,” Denise Warren, chief advertising officer of The New York Times Media Group, mentioned to Adweek. “This is really designed to help them home in on what their final decision will be.”
