Tomorrow, January 18, Reddit, the popular social news website, will black itself out from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm EST.  Instead of its usual user-created fare, they will display a message detailing their opposition to the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA.

The site’s founders oppose the bill, saying it amounts to censorship and will lead to the demise of the site and others like it. According to New York Magazine, last month Reddit led a boycott of the leading domain registrar, GoDaddy, and forced it to publicly claim it would not support the current version of SOPA.
