“S–t New Yorkers Say” Goes Viral

“S–t New Yorkers Say”—a variation on the meme  S–t “fill in the blank” says—has gone viral. According to the Daily News, the video created by brother and sister Eliot and Ilana Glazer is pretty much what young spoiled NYers say to each another.

Standing on subway platforms, Elliot says, “Where is the train?” over and over. In other scenes, he tells a friend all he had to eat today was a bagel. Talking with a friend, his sister spots and then turns up her nose at Mario Batali. Standing front of a restaurant, she tells friends, “Nobody knows about this place.” There is some Queens bashing, as well as the outright adulation of NY1 anchor Pat Kiernan.

Eliot Glazer, a sketch comedian and magazine editor from Ditmas Park, said it’s all in fun. “It’s not supposed to be taken literally,” he told the Daily News. “We have nothing against Queens.”
