Some NYers to Take to Streets Today Aganist #SOPA, While Others Wonder What It Is

With the SOPA protests already online (with various websites such as Reddit doing their versions of protest blackouts)  the movement will take a physical stand in NY today when at 12:30 p.m., the New York Tech Meetup will host a protest outside of Sen. Chuck Schumer and Sen. Kristen Gillibrand’s office at 12:30 p.m.  With this in mind, however, there are a still a fair amount of NYers who not only have no opinion on SOPA/PIPA, bu t don’t even know what they are.

To prove this, Mashable went to Madison Square Park yesterday to ask random people what they thought about the pending congressional legislation.  While some people were familiar (and mostly against it), they also found many who had no idea what SOPA is.

Below you will find the video.
