For a second year, nine baseball fanatics have been chosen to enter NY’s Major League Baseball fan cave, located in East Village.  The participants, who will write, blog, tweet and sometimes meet with big league ball players,  will watch every game this baseball season.

Of the original 22,000 entrants, these nine were chosen based on their video essays to attend spring training in AZ, and the support garnered by their blogs, tweets and videos.

According to the Daily News, the cave is located at the space of what used to be the Tower Records on Broadway and will feature pool tables and a bar/lounge.  The contestants, who will be eliminated until only one remains, will live in rent-free apartments, earn a stipend of up to $50,000 and have their meals catered.
