Punch! Media has created a social-media version of Mad Magazine for the iPad. The NY-based startup combines sardonic wit with Internet memes, videos and mobile gamed. Users of the free app find prominent pop culture videos, including Bjork going off on a Thai TV reporter, and links to video games.
Punch! Media is co-founded by David Bennahum , Maer Roshan (formerly of Radar), Ethan Fletcher, Dany Levy and Daniel Wyszynski. The company is backed by Betaworks, David Tisch, New Enterprise Associates and Jason Calacanis.
