This morning at Internet Week NY HQ in SoHo Mayor Bloomberg released  the Made in New York Digital Map (MappedinNY.com), which shows the locations the city’s tech start-ups and posts job opportunities.

The map, created by Internet Week New York in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and the NYC Economic Development Corporation shows over 600 hometown startups, investors and co-working spaces in the boroughs.  The website reads: “The Made in NY Map is a living resource that reflects New York City’s dynamic innovation ecosystem.”

According to VentureBeat, the map is an easy way to find start-ups and incubators, which seem to pop up daily in NYC.  Bloomberg said, “creative people want to be around other creative people, and creativity is driving the tech industry.”

Rachel Sterne, NY’s chief digital officer, added, “the message is loud and clear: that New York is open for business.”
