Yesterday, the website for the New York Daily News featured a splash headline at the top of the page. According to Capital, this is contrary to the normal page set up, but it may have something to do with the newest editor of the magazine, Ted Young. Young used to oversee Mail Online, the U.S.-friendly digital destination of the U.K.’s Daily Mail, which often had these splash headlines.
Those at the NY Daily News believe this will not be the first change that Young makes which resembles Mail Online, as he will be involved with the launch of it new nationally focused website called Daily News America, which is scheduled to go live at the end of June.
