Badoo Launches NY Marketing Campaign

Internationally focused social networking website Badoo recently launched a marketing campaign in NY. After starting a few months back, the website has already gained popularity in Europe, but in order to increase their US numbers, the company began The Badoo Project, which included a three day “photoshootathon” for NYers to share their phototsand the choosing of 22 winning users. Currently the photos can be seen in NY subways stations, taxi cabs, and posters.

So far the campaign has only occurred in NY, however MediaPost writer Larry Dobrow points out that social media knows no boundaries, so the site will not be contained to this one US city.
